Head for Victoria Road and try Short Long Black Coffee for takeout OR try one of the many other independent coffee houses.

Transylvania Shop & Coffee has a nice outdoor seating area if the day is fine. Wonder along Victoria Road taking in all the reuse, charity and independent shops.

Victoria Road is also home to the first Locavore in Glasgow.

Follow the road to Queens Park and enjoy the local architecture, park, glasshouses, viewpoint and people watching.

Work up an appetite exploring the area and then have lunch at Cafe Strange Brew in Shawlands. Their pancakes are epic.

Explore the City Centre

Next time you’re heading up Sauchiehall Street why not pop in to the newly opened Sprigg or visit the best Italian cafe on Bath Street called Smile for a great selection of lunch food and coffee.

With coffee in hand why not walk around Glasgow's many murals by following the Mural Map

visit Trongate 103 for a variety of exhibitions and galleries.

Explore the West End

There are some fantastic second-hand book shops in the west end such as Thistle Books, Voltaire & Rousseau and Caledonia Books.

If it's a sunny day (or not!) visit The University Cafe for the best ice cream in Glasgow, continue on Byres road to visit various charity shops and finish up in for a stroll Kelvingrove Park.
