Gallery Corridor
Hall of Art
2021
We are thrilled to introduce you to our new gallery corridor at Blythswood House, where Blythswood House and Margaret Macdonald House residents can showcase art works as an extracurricular activity at GSA Halls- by GSA Halls residents, for GSA Halls residents.
We will continue this as an end of year show for halls towards the end of our Undergraduate tenancy in May/June.

In my most recent work I have been looking at Scottish folklore, inspired by themes and moods within tales. I wanted to create my own stories about my experience during the pandemic in this oil painting.

This piece was a reflection of fragmentation of experience, memory and light, how they interlink with one another to present a utopian/dystopian environment. Collectivising an internal thought with a reality to visualise these tropes.

I can't keep still at a position because of my anxiety. My mind and body are separate. They're misplaced. I'm not able to position/settle myself. It makes me think about improper body gestures for different objects such as chair, bed, toilet, table or sink. While bed is for sleeping when I'm conscious, chair is what I have problems inhabiting when I am awake. I don't know how to seat myself properly regardless of my attempt. I need to be seated by other.
